*holds helmeted head in hands* … NOOOOO…. my little transgressions have cost me dearly. I’ve racked up * 8 hours * of penalties. 8 HOURS?!? I don’t remember getting THAT many…. unless… some of those stunts I pulled in front of the operators got me dinged. I got TWO 3 hour penalties and FOUR 30 min penalties. FUCK FUCK FUCK. I hate this fucking suit. I hate KelleyTech. I hate myself. Why in the hell did I do this? “Try harder, S-7896.” FUCK OFF, CUSTODIAN! *tugs at helmet desparately*

I’m happy for Ryder, I am - releasing the TIE like that was great. But… I am forced to flee and try to find shelter in the thicketed forest of Cloud 9. Ryder buzzed me with a slow pass in his TIE Interceptor from behind when I wasn’t looking… and as a result I got TWO violations. One for proximity, and the other for eavesdropping, as everytime he adjusted his throttle the TIE says the throttle setting. (Use llOwnerSay(), sweetie… Chatty!) Each tap of the throttle key was registered by my Custodian, and that triggered a 2nd violation. The Custodian currently says I have 11 hrs 50 min remaining on the sentence, but it’s probably going to be more once the demerits rack up. *sigh*

I love you, sister Sapphire. Thanks for helping me thru this, as much as you can. 12 hours left - I’m halfway thru the original sentence, and more then halfway as I’ve served 13 hrs (the violations I’ve gotten so far have tacked on an hour. I’m going to beat this thing. Thanks to my family for being supportive.

Made contact on some level with B-9140. Even though we’re not permitted to be within a certain distance, there are ways one can communicate if you put your mind to it. I hope B-9140 gets the message I was trying to convey. I’m sure happy I could figure out a way to get it to her. Got a communcation violation, I got cocky and blew my sister a kiss. The punishment was almost over before it began, so I don’t think it extended my sentence by much. It’s worth it. No response from my Operator. Those strange noises are continuing… I’m beginning to wonder if the Custodian’s gone south, or if my mind is going. Perhaps they’re the same. 13 hrs 46 min left.

That my Custodian may be malfunctioning. I’ve been hearing strange noises lately, and it’s happening in almost every sim I visit, so it’s not a local thing. I’ve paged my Operator, and right now I’m waiting outside KelleyTech for her to arrive…. but so far she’s not shown up. I think it’ll be OK… I just want to make sure that this is working correctly.

Wow. This is NOT easy. Having owned a Sable Banesuit for a while, I figured I could do this. The key to this is the immersiveness - I have been hearing that this is the most difficult thing I could ever do in SL, and I am beginning to see why. Don’t think so? Let’s look at the list of things that happened tonight. Some are positive, some not so good.

* Saw the lovely orchid cage my sister Mai made. Truly amazing. I hope we get a chance to collaborate on it - with some good scripts it’d be welcome in any House.

* Saw some amazingly beautiful places in my Home Sim that I never realized were so gorgeous until I stopped talking and started looking. Thanks, Master Nexus and Sister Mai, for paying such attention to detail. Also found a great little nook in the mountains that I think I can call “mine”. Getting good at identifying it on the map.
* Had two maintenance sessions today. All I can say: ewwww.

* Saw my family from a distance. That’s painful… I wanted nothing more than to run to them and spent time in their arms, yet I can’t. I am Bane.

* Got two contact violations, resulting in an extension of my sentence. Yow.

* Learning what I can do within the constraints of Banishment, the Banesuit, and the Custodian… and what I can’t. Specifically, how far I can push the rules before I get zaaaappped. You’d be amazed what you CAN do if you put your mind to it, heehee.

* Was buzzed by an experimental Tie Interceptor. Only in SL, lol.

* Was chased over by KelleyTech by some mean spirited people. Apparently “bane hunting” is becoming a sport. The idea is to cause the banes to rack up longer sentences by forcibly invading their space. Not fun - believe me, the novelty of being Bane wears off quick. Getting chased by someone on horseback… hunted like an… animal… was NOT FUN. :( That hurt to have happen. After narrowly avoiding several contact violations, I fled to a safe spot… Thunderbird Island.

* And while on Thunderbird Island, I was chased by a loved one. I know it was all in fun, but it still hurt. *sigh* As sad as it must have looked to run from that, I have to say, it felt ten times worse.

* Watching other family members carry on a fairly normal conversation from afar. I don’t know what’s worse, not being invited to something like that, or seeing it and KNOWING that you can’t participate.

I feel that this is just the beginning, too. It’s been a wild day of ups and downs. Right now, I just want this sentence in the Banesuit to be OVER as quickly as it can be. I entered Banishment for my own reasons, strange and possibly misguided they may have been, they were my reasons nonetheless. It’d be relatively easy to holler for my Operator and beg for this sentence to end… but I have to know how this story ends. Something tells me the ride is just beginning. In respect of that, I’m going to be shutting down my RL instant messenger for the rest of the duration of my sentence. People who want to leave me messages can drop them on my email (if you have it, great, if not… sorry, ask a family member to deliver it).  Bane S-7896 is calling it a night.  15 hours, 9 minutes remaining in the sentence.

Sometimes all it takes is a rough nite to show you how beautiful the world can be, whether it be real or virtual.

Hopefully I can rest the night out here. I found a nice little hollow on Cloud 9 Island that’s quiet and off the beaten path. I figure I am due for maintenance soon, so I’ll see if that happens … then I’ll stick it out for a bit and call it a night.
