So, yesterdays work out lasted 15 minutes.
yeah, 15.
Because I thought “hey, I’ve got AA and A scores all over songs on light mode, lets try standard!”
6 songs later, most of them unfinished, I’m on the couch, unable to stand up because my calves hurt so bad.
I hope this is a temporary thing. Otherwise I’m gonna be stuck on Light Mode for a very very long time.
Ok. so on MAX2, I’ve had difficulty getting an AA score on some specific tracks on “light” level.
“Do it right” is one of them, and my favorite “Break Down” is another one.
Well, today I got sick of my eyes drifting up the screen and my attention being drawn to those silly blinking arrows at the top of the screen that determine how accurate things are. So, enter the wonder of DDR MAX2’s song mods, I turned them off.
I now have an AA on the two songs listed above, an A on several others, and a freakin B and a C on a few of the Standarnd mode songs.
guess it goes to show how much of a distraction those things are, and how much you can improve by listening to the beat.

Ho-lee shiat!!! 200bpm of pure fun. 
Given, that’s just the beginner level. I got an A, but then got a D on the “light” level. When I eventually get my Cobalt Flux pad, I’ll find out how much of my problems at the “light” and the “standard” levels really *is* due to pad drift. It really does seem that the higher the difficulty level, the more twisted and moved the pad is by the time I’m done with just one song.
But! I’m talented! I can reposition the pad during some beginner level songs.
*listens for the crowd to ooh and aaah, but hears only crickets*

Something I’m having issues with though on DDR MAX2 is that on a few of the songs, beginner level especially, I’ll score an AA on a song (example: the song “Will I”), and it will show as an AA in the scoring section. Full combo and all, then when it goes back to the song wheel for the next stage, it’s not updated and only shows an A. WTF?

The Island or the DancePad.
I’m definitely hoping the island. If LL takes til the end of the month to deliver an island, I’m going to be chatting with them on the phone.
It’ll show up eventually.
I wonder if I can get the dancepad to interface with my PC and use it to terraform…

Ok DDR update. Yep, I’m still at it. No, I don’t have DDR Extreme back yet, but DDR Max2 is awesome.
As for SL, I’m excitedly awaiting the delivery of a shiny new island.

Yes, I DID get some in yesterday, but only about 15 minutes worth. Had done lots of other stuff, and my feet were still recovering from Fridays fun.
Will probably go for about the same today, maybe longer, because I’m going for a walk with family. Depends on how tired I am when I get back. Likely I’ll only do 15 minutes, but we’ll see.
A LOT of DDR today. However, no scores to update, because I exchanged DDR Extreme for DDR MAX2 with a friend (for a while)
So, I have all new songs, and so on.
So far I have an A or an AA on 15 of the first 16 songs I did on beginner. Seems it’s easier so far, but I’m still sorting through the game.
Looks like I”m going to have to start reporting calories burned.
Topaz Square 136,129,394 - Trying out the SLURLBlogger for the first time. once working, I’ll be able to make posts from in world, which totally rocks, because .. well.. it just does! I’ll be able to rant on the spot! Woo! Real time blogging, as the action unfolds!
Right now I’m just at Topaz Square, chatting with CaSimone. She really is one of the finest designers in SL, and has quite a variety of clothing and shoes to choose from.
Her best boots, and best sellers, have even been ripped off by someone who is nothing more than a petty theif. What drives me crazy is that Linda and her army of alts knows they are rip-offs, and openly promotes the stolen goods. So nice to know the SL Mentors are on the side of honesty.
Spent time in the yard today pulling weeds, mowing grass, the usual, so had a short workout today

A note about “Peace Out”. If you are a beginner, and moving towards doing the “light” difficulty level on the dances, I’d put this on in on the list of “easier” ones, along with “Kick the Can” and “Only You”. It’s also a nice one to drop back to if you have done some other “light” level ones, or some “standard” level dances and need a break from the high speed.
There’s a small competition coming up near me on Saturday. I might go to watch and maybe even learn something. Play? NOT. Like I’m going to jump from a diaper dance-pad straight to an arcade machine (which I’ve never ever been on) and do anything better than an E. And the IRS might disband and give back all of last years taxes too.

“A” and “Ecstacy” are still kicking my ass on the beginner level, I just can’t seem to get an AA on them. It’s the damned stops and offbeats in the songs. Bleh, I’ll get there.
